Ter Heide

Ter Heide is a care center for people with intellectual and/or additional disabilities located in Zonhoven. A passionate group of more than 600 employees, parents, volunteers, administrators, trainees and partners is continuously striving to offer the residents a place where they can be themselves, where they are happy and where they can develop themselves.

Wheelchair cycling is a great activity for the residents. They always enjoy every moment to the fullest. Many of the bicycles are already a few years old and now need replacement. Being impressed by the enthusiasm and motivation of the hundreds of employees during a visit to Ter Heide, Rezinal decided to purchase a new wheelchair bike with an extra battery.

On June 14, Rezinal’s managing director Kristiaan Deckers, foreman Erik Snyders and commercial director Dieter Stulens were allowed to go on a bike ride with a number of residents to initiate the new “Rezinal bike”. In this way, the new wheelchair bicycle could also be tested immediately. It became a pleasant bike ride to Hasselt that ended with a cup of coffee.
