School visit

Yesterday we welcomed a very special team at Rezinal. No operators, engineers or logistics planners… but nearly 70 students from the 6th grade.

Students from the Municipal Primary School of Zandhoven and Vrije Basisschool De Heppening from Heppen came to visit and discover the world of recycling and zinc. We started with a short introduction. What exactly is zinc? Why is it used to protect steel from corrosion? And how can a metal be recycled again and again without losing its quality?

After that, it was time for a tour of the company. Wearing helmets and high-visibility vests, the students explored several departments: from the laboratory, where materials are analysed, to the administration, and of course the installations where zinc recycling happens every day.

For many of the students, it was the first time seeing an industrial company up close. What we especially wanted to show them?
That sustainability is not just something from a school textbook — it is something that happens here every single day. Materials are given a new life and continue to circulate within our economy

And honestly… we received quite a few sharp questions. Always a good sign.
A big thank you to all the students and teachers for their enthusiasm and curiosity.
Who knows — in a few years, we might welcome back some future engineers, laboratory specialists or recycling experts.
