carbon-neutral zinc

Rezinal dedicates most of its R&D efforts to producing secondary zinc metal using the best available clean zinc recycling technologies, designed to contribute to the eco-friendly way of life.

Thus, the energy and water consumption during zinc Rezinal’s production process is significantly lower than when manufacturing primary SHG zinc (min. 99,995%) metal from ores. Rezinal also wishes to set good example in terms of CO2 emissions. Using state of the art manufacturing technologies, we have reduced the carbon footprint per kg of zinc to just 0,15 kg, a fraction of the global industry average estimated at 3,96 CO2/kg for refined SHG zinc from ores. The result is a more sustainable zinc metal with one of the world’s lowest carbon footprint to date.

Rezinal is now aiming to further reduce its carbon emissions all the way to net zero. Our goal is to continuously strive to create sustainable value by developing, manufacturing and recycling zinc materials. This keeps the zinc processing industries’ chain closed and future generations do not lose any valuable raw materials: an important contribution to a better environment and a greener future.
