We are immensely proud to be recognized as one of the three Limburg-based companies granted the title of Unitar SDG-Champion. This achievement marks the culmination of a five-year journey during which Rezinal dedicated itself to sustainability initiatives. Our commitment doesn't stop here; we are now focused on becoming an SDG-Ambassador, further deepening our impact.
In total, 72 Limburg-based companies, including ours, received certificates in recognition of their outstanding efforts towards advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. These achievements were made possible through the comprehensive program provided by Voka - Kamer van Koophandel Limburg known as the Voka Charter Duurzaam Ondernemen (VCDO).
VCDO has been instrumental in guiding businesses to align their operations with the 17 sustainability objectives outlined by the United Nations. Our journey through VCDO underscores our belief that sustainability isn't solely about protecting our planet but also about creating value for our shareholders, employees, and society as a whole.
Furthermore, as Europe takes a significant stride towards sustainable business practices with the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), we are pleased to note that participating companies in the VCDO program, including Rezinal, are already well-prepared to meet the stricter reporting requirements on sustainability matters. This initiative has not only helped us contribute to environmental preservation but also champion the well-being and future of our stakeholders and society at large.
