Recycling old zinc scrap
- Old roofing zinc, the raw material for the second production line, is carefully checked and hand sorted.
- The scrap is shreddered in a rotor shear, and conveyed to a rotary furnace, in which the melting temperature is adjusted to achieve optimum separation of the zinc from the impurities. The zinc is poured into 25 kg ingots.
- Again, the production process and the end product are subject to continuous sampling and analysis.
